At Kleivstua, we also welcome individual guests to experience the beauty of Krokskogen throughout the year. Kleivstua is the perfect starting point for exploring the forest and the surrounding nature, no matter the season.
In spring, summer, and autumn, you can simply step outside and start walking – or rent one of our bikes and explore the plenty trails and forest roads right on our doorstep. In winter, prepared cross-country ski tracks and illuminated trails are starting just outside the hotel.
The possibilities are many – offering great experiences for all ages.
After spending time in the fresh forest air, food tastes even better.
In our restaurant, we serve dishes made with care and a passion for great flavours, often based on locally sourced ingredients.
Please note that both lunch and dinner must be pre-ordered at least one day in advance.
Kleivstua offers 45 rooms with a total capacity of up to 112 guests.
Each room is named after characters from the fairytales of Asbjørnsen & Moe.
Families can also rent their own cabin and enjoy meals in separate lounges if desired.
For those who wish to get even closer to nature, we also offer hammocks for rent – perfect for a night under the open sky of Krokskogen.
